Media Fact Checker
It occasionally happens that falsehoods which are invented by politicians or political activists to promote a cause, are reported in the media as if they are factual. Usually when this occurs, some opposing group points out the error of fact, and eventually the public gets something resembling the truth. In the case of feminist activists however, there has been no organized opposition for decades. As a result, feminist activists have been encouraged to promote ever more blatant falsehoods in pursuit of their goals. Many exaggerated claims and even total fabrications, invented by feminist political activists, are repeated endlessly in the media as if they are true. They have become things that "everyone knows". Some are half-truths, but many of them have absolutely no basis in fact.
These are some of the more blatant and repeated falsehoods, many of them still encountered in reputable newspapers even today. Perhaps more worrisome, some of these were taken from actual legislation that, as of April 1998, is pending in the U.S. Congress.
