GENDER VIEWS SELDOM OFFERED BY BIG MEDIA AND LEADING FEMINISTS

Because "Men Have the Power," Getting the Male Side Heard Is So Frustrating.

Men's Issues

THE TOPICS:

GENDER VIOLENCE

...It Makes Some Feminists Want a World Without Men...

...But what about women's violence? If feminists (and the media) don't take women's violence seriously, why should men take women's opinions seriously? After all, according to ideological feminists' own definition of hate crimes, violence is merely an opinion acted out, a view expressed by behavior.
"If one is to accept the basic principles of equality that feminism advances, then one must accept that women, like men, are capable of the entire range of human action and experience: from the summits of artistic creativity and human compassion, to the depths of debased violence and evil." --Adam Jones

Sexual Harassment

"With this I will manipulate your little male brain." But all power carries a price tag.

THE WORLD OF CHILDREN

As society vigorously promotes women's equality in the world of work, it generally impedes men's equality in the world of children.

THE WORLD OF WORK

Post-Father's Day Scripts

On Father's Day, Sen. Barack Obama could have called upon us to try to understand the complexities conspiring to keep men out of the world of children, as he would do when speaking of the complexities that have kept women out of the world of work. Instead of praising fathers at least once a year on their special day, he seized the easy opportunity, in true ideological feminist fashion, to bash the least powerful and most disenfranchised group in the country: “Any fool can have a child -- that doesn't make you a father. Too many fathers are missing from too many lives and too many homes. They have abandoned their responsibilities. They are acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families have suffered because of it. You and I know this is true everywhere but nowhere is it more true than in the African-American community.” (Even as he tells fathers to spend more time with their children, Sen. Obama hopes to assume a job which will virtually guarantee that he will spend less time with his.) More...

What if on Mother's Day Obama had had the brazenness the insanity to rail against mothers who refuse to work or who don't return to work after a reasonable period of maternity leave: “They have abandoned their responsibilities. They are acting like girls instead of women. And the foundations of our families have suffered because of it. You and I know this is true everywhere but nowhere is it more true than in the African-American community.” How fast would Democrats have denominated him as their presidential candidate and driven him out of the country? As I have long said, why do feminists want a female politician such as Hillary Clinton when male politicians always come down on the side of women on gender issues, always can be counted on to be less fair to men than possibly the most radical feminist?

Postpartum depression strikes new fathers, too. Ten percent of new fathers and 14 percent of new mothers are affected by depression, says psychologist James F. Paulson, assistant professor of pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va.” More at U.S. News & World Report...

On men's courage: “When the topic is Osama bin Laden, men are Rambo; when the topic is women, men are Bambi. Men will go bonkers over — and pay lots of cash to see — football, hockey, rock concerts, tractor pulls, boxing matches, and naked women. But, when elected officials legislate away their reproductive, civil, and custody rights, their rowdiness melds into reticence. These men of 'action' are quickly transformed into passive, diffident, cheap wimps. If one of their friends gets falsely accused of rape, they will be shocked … for two seconds … and then hope like hell it never happens to them. End of story. ...     [M]en’s silence is women’s gold.” Today's men are The Defeatist Generation. More... See also Warren Farrell's book Women Can't Hear What Men Don't Say.

Stigmatized as abusers and denied legal standing, the men who marry mothers and provide their children with strength, support and love deserve our admiration.” More...

In a column that seems less humorous than cynical, a father advises his 18-year-old son about women: “Pay close attention when encountering women. Sometimes 'yes' means 'yes,' sometimes 'yes' means 'maybe,' sometimes it means 'get over here, big fella,' and occasionally 'step any closer, and I call the cops.' To be safe, assume 'yes' means 'no.'” Later he tells his son to always carry an extra condom. But why, if his son must assume “yes” means “no”? What if a woman rips off his clothes and drags him into bed? Should he assume this, too, means “no”? More....

The keystone of the feminist order is 'domestic violence.' Men are so universally presented as having 'anger management issues,' that even in the extreme case, where a woman has murdered her husband, the court will invite feminist 'experts' to argue that the man must have deserved it. And the man in this scene is unable to defend his own posthumous reputation, for dead men tell no tales.” More...
